ABOUT THE POSITION
This Sr. Plating Engineer position supports Plating Activities for our Southbridge, Massachusetts location. This role includes both individual hands-on laboratory activities and cross-functional team efforts.
Responsibilities
- Drives stability and process improvements through measurement, detailed analysis and process controls
- Creates and maintains process work instructions and standard operating procedures
- Troubleshoots and solves process issues to ensure production targets are met
- Reviews, understands and meets customer quality requirements
- Responsible in the development, optimization, and documentation of new processes and equipment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in: Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field required; or 10 years practical experience
- Five or more years plating experience in R&D, manufacturing or product development preferred
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, ability to produce publishable technical documents
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
- Able to work in collaborative team environments
- 3D CAD modeling knowledge/Autodesk Inventor experience is a plus but not required
- U.S. Person or Permanent Residency required per government contract(s)
