ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Furnace Operator, you will support the production line, by loading, unloading and operating furnaces used for GTMS and brazing, in support of manufacturing a quality product.

Responsibilities

  • Operate furnaces used for GTMS, and brazing according to required specifications of a production line in a manufacturing organization.
  • Read, interpret and follow both basic and complex blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications and other written instructions or procedures.
  • Collect all materials and equipment needed to begin the sealing process & always verify furnace conditions prior to starting toPerform tool changes, offsets and compensations independently.

  • Check furnace often to verify conditions and temperatures are correct.
  • Read interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately perform glass seal and brazing operations.
  • Responsible for unloading and disassembling parts from dies independently. Verifying the part count, making new WIP tickets for end of each shift, and returning dies to assembly in a timely matter.
  • Perform profile changes, gas changes and basic die loading under supervision.
  • Inspect and measure parts using basic measurement tools.
  • Dolcument actions by compleing required production documentation and performing ERP transactions.
  • Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements (cleaning cycles, heat cycle profiles); following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs when necessary.
  • Contribute to company and team goals, by working as a productive team member.
  • Comply with policies, procedures and work instructions.
  • Work in a safe and effective manner, with adherence to safety and PPE requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • US Citizenship or US person status required.
  • Understanding of quality control principles
  • 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination
  • Basic computer skills required
