Ongoing Job Responsibilities:
  • Work with key production stakeholders (R&D, Quality, and Production) to develop or improve production capabilities for new and existing Medical products
  • Work with R&D during the product design cycle to ensure best practices of design for manufacturing are incorporated into the product
  • Use, develop and maintain statistical process controls on the line to ensure consistent and high quality products
  • Technical problem solving focused on improving product quality and production capability
  • Generation and maintenance of technical data packages including drawings, travelers, tooling, and test procedure
  • Ability to interface with both External and Internal Customers
  • Prepare and conduct presentations to peers, management and end customer
  • (written and oral)
Key Objectives:
  • Work with the internal stake holders to translate requirements and product designs into detailed process documents and production equipment that can test and verify that all requirements are met 
  • Solve processing and production problems by obtaining data and performing analysis to identify cause and effect of product variations or defects (SPC)
  • Effectively interpret and communicate technical information and complex ideas in support of internal and external customers.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of the process based on data and project success
  • Regularly communicate the status of the process and any open projects
Leadership Competencies:
  • Work with R&D, quality and production as the technical lead develop or improved product production lines and equipment and to ensure quality outcomes
  • Influence people who do not directly report to you
  • Influence people of a higher grade level
  • Own a process and identify when changes are necessary
  • Stick to a timeline
  • Good communication skills
  • Can work independently but ask for help when needed
Hiring Requirements:
  •  B.S. in Engineering (electrical, chemical or mechanical preferred) or other technical field (Physics, Chemistry)
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Training and experience in SPC
  • Self-starter and schedule-driven
  • Demonstrate attention to detail through accuracy and completeness of information
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Hiring Preferences:
  • Familiar with the Medical industry IQ/OQ/PQ process
  • Black Belt/Six SIGMA
  • Measurement and instrumentation experience desired
  • Statistical analysis preferred
  • Geometric, Dimensioning, & Tolerancing knowledge preferred
Educational Requirements:
  • Minimal Education level Required: B.S. in Engineering or other technical field (Physics, Chemistry)
  • Preferred Educational Level (if applicable): MS in Engineering or other technical field
