Position Title:  Sr. Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
Department:  Advanced Manufacturing & Automation
Location:  Crossroads / Multi-site role – Joplin, MO
Reports to:  Engineering Manager


                    Establish manufacturing capability for new product introductions and scale-ups

                    Develop and implement new manufacturing processes

                    Improve existing manufacturing processes with automation and technology

                    Lead the acquisition and implementation of automated equipment

                    Develop and manage relationships with automation houses and equipment vendors

                    Work with R&D and product engineering to improve designs for manufacturability and automation


                    Excellent communication skills; internal and external at all levels

                    Assertive and schedule-driven

                    Project management in team environment


                    Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience

                    Experience with automated equipment specification, procurement, installation, and validation

                    Experience with the new product development and introduction process

                    Experience working with and managing external automation vendors, OEM’s, contractors, etc.

                    Technical writing experience with equipment specifications and manufacturing process documentation

                    Solid modeling 3D CAD experience

                    Proficient with Microsoft office software

                    Excellent communication skills, working with internal and external resources at all levels

                    High energy, self-motivated, and detail-oriented; team work spirit is essential

                    Willingness to work projects at multiple sites within a 30 mile radius

                    US Citizen or Permanent Residency Required


                    Experience with Lithium Ion Li-ion cell and battery manufacturing processes

                    Project management experience and/or training

                    Machine design experience

                    Experience with IQ, OQ, PQ process validation



                    B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Machine Design Engineering, or related discipline
