As the Manager of Maintenance & Reliability within the Process Engineering department of the Defense SBU, you are responsible for maintaining all facilities & grounds; life-cycle equipment maintenance; improving equipment uptime; managing all maintenance related costs; maintenance staff safety, supervision, development and deployment; supporting growth initiatives; contractor liaison; maintaining certifications; and ensuring local/state/federal regulations compliance.


  • Maintain strong reporting relationships with Site Directors and Process Engineering department leads;
  • Organize, maintain, and keep in supply, the maintenance shop areas;
  • Continuously maintain adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary;
  • Coordinate PMs and PM audits, repairs, construction, and routinely monitor and report performance;
  • Execute equipment PM audits and record-taking policies;
  • Develop continuously refine a corporate-wide TPM strategy;
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols;
  • Routinely track and report to Senior Leadership, all maintenance PM schedules and projects;
  • Supervise, mentor, train, and oversee certifications of maintenance technicians & mechanics for full diversity of skillsets;
  • Responsible for all electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC for all facilities and equipment within the Defense SBU;
  • Recommend and initiate projects to improve the reliability of critical equipment and systems;
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with local authorities and service providers;
  • Ensure adequate on-call support;
  • Manage contractors as necessary, pertaining to construction projects, equipment overhaul, PMs, etc.



Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or related discipline preferred;

US Citizen or permanent resident;

Electrical Certification; HVAC Certification;

Min. 10 years of experience across spectrum of Construction, Machining, Facilities Maintenance, HVAC, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Automation, or related discipline and/or technical degree equivalent;

Proficient with Microsoft office software, related plant maintenance modules, reporting tools, and tracking systems;

Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills;

Self-motivated with a passion for customer service, continuous improvement, project management;

Strong mechanical aptitude;

Working knowledge of MEP blueprints;

Detail oriented with an analytical and structured approach to problem solving;

Solid report writing experience that translates to technical procedures and related documentation;

Strong interpersonal skills;

Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, automation systems;

Advanced working knowledge of electrical and HVAC codes and requirements.


Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering or other related discipline;

3-5 years’ experience developing site plans with long-term growth strategy;

3+ years' experience in facilities management;

Strong understanding of warehouse control systems;

Advanced hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, automation systems;

Cross-functional customer service & leadership skills;

Excellent project management skills;

Experienced computer modeling design and/or site software design;

Welding experience in steel and aluminum;

Fork truck, tractor, other heavy equipment operation experience;
