    The Production Management specialist will be a vital team member in helping control specific area inventory, process documentation insuring we are always audit ready, poke yoke area set up so production can focus on work performance, scrap tracking with reduction practices. Control specialist will be a frontline for 7’s procedures and cost improvements in their area as well as working knowledge of Eagle-Picher defined goals for the specific work area.

    About the Position:

    The primary purpose of this position is to keep inventory correct in plex and keep a physical count/control of inventory in their area of work. Set up work stations to allow works to concentrate on task and not materials needed to streamline production without parts interference, while recognizing constraints in production and reporting it to supervision. Properly document inventory and move through plex and insure routings in plex are correct in depleting materials also returned with correct counts and documentation. Work with quality, group-leaders, supervisors, lean leaders, and management to stay up on the most current DCC information, and projects for the area that directly affect production. If the Production Control Specialist is task driven, openly communicates with leadership, works well with scheduling, and to fast pace production environment they will be successful part of the Eagle-Picher. Ability to manage small teams and delegating tasks in order to drive effective and efficient results.


    Your core responsibilities will be to:

    • Review Daily Production Schedule Boards for assigned areas
      • Blueprints
      • Procedures
      • Standard Work
      • ED’S
    • Create Plex Locations and Work Centers
    • Authorized to edit Plex Inventory Records
      • Transfer inventory in Plex QTY’s Produced
      • Scrapped Produced
      • Time on work orders
      • Closing WO’s
      • Document Inventory Records Error actives to Planner and Ops Manager
    • Other duties as assigned

    Job Functions During Shift:

    • Perform and track cycle count data
    • Ensure company Inventory is DFAR Compliant
    • Insure all inventory transactions are updated in Plex
    • Communicate with department leads/supervisor for any needs, requests or your needs
    • Review Plex transaction
      • QTY’s Produced
      • Scrapped Produced
      • Time on work orders
      • Closing WO’s
      • Document Inventory Records Error actives to Planner and Ops Manager

    Job Functions End of Shift:

    • Update communicate with department leads/supervisor for any needs, requests or production schedule changes
    • Pull/deliver daily scheduled inventory for assigned areas for next day as needed
    • Pre-kitting for next day production where needed
    • Retrieve/deliver finish goods to next stations for assigned areas
    • Insure all assigned stations has proper inventory/supplies for next day production as needed
      • Count on-hand/finished goods/return excess inventory for each department and unsure all transactions are updated in Plex at the end of the day.QTY’s Produced
      • Scrapped Produced
      • Time on work orders
      • Closing WO’s
      • Document Inventory Records Error and actives to Planner and Ops Manager


    To succeed in this position, you must meet the following requirements:

    • 3 years of Thermal battery manufacturing experience
    • Working knowledge of Plex Manufacturing System
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Ability to read blueprints
    • Experience in inventory control
    • Previous experience managing direct and indirect reports.
    • Experience developing and maintaining Inventory Control Systems.
    • Ability to work independently or as z member of a team.
    • Ability to create and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
